Poor customer service. I was looking for a recumbent bike for phy therapy after a surgery. And I asked if they would assemble a new model to compare to the one model they had assembled, guaranteeing id buy one of them....the answer was no.

Good place to pick up new and used gear. They have stuff for pretty much any sport, and they use stuff is usually pretty decently priced. Its a tiny storefront, with a whole lot of equipment jammed packed in there, so be prepared to dig around and search for whatever it is youre looking to buy.

Today, I decided that I wanted to purchase bikes for myself and my family. I was going to purchase them online but I said let me go out and support a local business here in Gainesville, FL. My first place of choice was Play It Again a Sports. I showed up and spotted a bike of interest just outside near the entrance. I decided to go online to read reviews regarding the bike, where I found great reviews and also the bike was listed $40 cheaper online on the manufacturer website with free shipping. I got with Cooper who works at the store and inquired about the bicycle. I asked Cooper if they could match the price that the manufacturer was selling it for and he said that he will contact the store owner to see if he would honor the price that’s online. After Cooper spoke to the store owner over the phone he advised that the store owner said that that bike was out of stock and so they will not honor the actual price of the bike. The manufacturer website clearly states that the bike is available for purchase online. After delivering that information the owner stated that he can only come down $20 off the price. Of course, I walked out and did not purchase that bike. Later I spoke to Cooper on the phone who stated that he was flustered that his owner didn’t honor the price of the bike online to earn my business. Cooper later called me and advised that his boss will honor the price of the bike, however, I had already left and driven home. I explained to Cooper that I really appreciated his customer service and his attempt in influencing his boss to do what’s right. I will be checking out other locally owned bike shops in Gainesville before I decide to buy from Play It Again sports here in Gainesville, FL. I’m only rating them 2 stars, but I would rate Cooper’s effort in providing good Custer service 5 stars.

Play it again has a lot sports equipment and apparel to choose from that is still in very good condition at a very fair price. They have a very large display of all kinds of cleats and other shoes to play any sport. The staff is very helpful in helping you find what you are looking for

The staff are absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable of everything sports! They are always so quick to help in anyway they can!

Great staff and overall just love going here.Ive been able to build my home gym at a fraction of the price thanks to this place. Even when Im just asking questions they are never bothered to answer or see it as a waste of time.

I’ve been coming to Play It Again Sports for quite a while for fair- priced sports equipment. The staff are always polite and knowledgeable about what I’m looking for. Recently, I needed some items that they didn’t have in stock at the time. They took my information and called me as soon as the items became available. I was impressed that they kept their word and treated me like I was a priority. They were very busy when we stopped by, and we still managed to get what we needed quickly. Everyone was professional and polite. Definitely our first stop from now on.

Very helpful staff! I was looking for an inversion table and decided to stop in Play it Again. I was surprised to find several in the store and the guys working there let me test it out and helped load it into my car.

I was disappointed to see them profiteering off of the COVID-19 outbreak. I was interested in a set of weights to make a home gym but realized that they were over $100 more expensive at Play It Again (nearly 40% more!) than they were on the manufacturers website (where they were sold out). I asked if they would price match but they refused stating that people on eBay were selling them for much much more and I would be lucky to find them anywhere else. Jacking up prices to exploit your community during a pandemic is no way to exist. I gave them two stars because their staff were polite and the store was clean.

This place is great. Real people. Real stuff. Real cheap. I have scored some good as new stuff such as a great bench and the bowflex weights for excellent prices. And Craig is solid. 8/10 easy!

Always an amazing selection. Youth athletes grow up so fast they need equipment to grow with them. Play it again is the best choice for growing young adults. Knowledgeable sales staff are always willing to help you find the right item that fits comfortably.

This location always has the best customer service and great prices!We always receive the best customer service at this location. This time in the store, my husband was having 6 golf clubs cut down and new grips added our 7 and 8 year old boys. The price was unbelievable, much cheaper than the new sports store in town. We also bought 2 junior golf bags a great prices and the boys are tickled to be able to play golf with their dad.

Good location with convenient parking. Used equipment is usually in good condition. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable about many different products for different sports. Sometimes buy back prices are low and some of their used equipment can be overpriced.

Friendly staff and goof merchandise even now. Some staff more helpful than other but they know stuff

I make Play It Again Sports my first stop when searching for fitness or sports equipment. They are friendly people and the used equipment is generally in good shape. The only complaint I have is that they dont haggle when making a large purchase. I bought three used bicycles from them and even though the prices were fair I was hoping they would give me some sort of discount even if it was in store credit. I still bought the bikes because like I said, the prices were fair, but now I know, what you see is what you get.

Went in here the other day to see if they had basketball shoes. I wasnt greeted at all and was stared at. I was completely uncomfortable and probably wont go here again. Theyre prices are not all that great just Google the prices and you can see you arent saving any money. I looked up one of their stationary bikes and the price was the same for a brand new one elsewhere

Wow, I just love Play It Again Sports and all of the services they offer! The employees are always helpful when Im in the store looking at equipment. One notable moment was when Austin helped me with some exercise equipment. Its always important to have employees that go above and beyond to help customers out. Ill definitely bring my business back again.

Great sale going on but the place is a mess. Under new management so maybe some spring cleaning going on but it was hard to even walk through the aisles. Some of the things looked to be in pretty bad shape also.

My son needed his baseball glove adjusted and we happened to be driving by, so I thought I would stop by to see if they were open. As we walked up, the gentleman was closing up shop. I explained our dilema. Without hesitation, he graciously reopened the store and fixed my sons glove. His customer service means the world to me and we sincerely want to thank him.

Jeff went out of his way to find what I needed from another store and get it for me within a day! I thought that was above and beyond, which is what I like about doing business with local business owners instead of big box stores. They also know our community and what sports are currently registering and the specific items needed and cater to that, again a small business owner perk. I also like that they are visible in the community and are present at things like Gatorball registration with merchandise on site! Great job!

Great store! Weve used it several times to purchase new and used equipment for my daughter for softball. Their stock is constantly changing, so even if you dont find what you need the first time, its always good to check back to see if theyve got what you need. It beats paying full price for things, especially for small children who are growing and needing new equipment on a regular basis.

Customer service was rude. At the register, employee seemed aggravated just to be there and reflected it to others. Other reviews seem to point this out yet he is still there. Prices are a little up there, close to new even for some heavy wear items, but I understand there has to be profit somewhere. Not to impressed with total visit. Just from the customer service point, Id rather pay more for new items elsewhere than to visit that employee.

Not kid frindley at all. The staff was more into the blond with tights then helping anyone else. I dont think it takes 3 men to help out one 20 year old ladie. My son asked twice for help each time he was told to fund his dad. Well I am his dad and I was told to wait my turn. I waited tell she walked to the back with one of the guys that work at the store. I was in the store for 25 mins waiting for help. My son asked to use the bathroom. he was told others are using it. What that staff did not know I was going to spend $3,400.00 my truck and trailer was out side ready to be filled. Thanks for making clear that unless you are a 20 year old ladie that is being usherd to the bathroom and helped into the bathroom from a employee of the store no one else matters.

Theyll have just about any type of sports equipment that you might be searching for. I was in there recently for a left handed sand wedge. Didnt find what i needed at this location. Another one of their stores had exactly what I needed.

They dont offer much for good quality used stuff, so their inventory is mostly old and over priced.
