Stopped in after craving some bagels. Got a Garlic bagel with veggie spread and a blueberry bagel with Walnut/raisin spread. As the photos show, the spread was lathered on thiccc! Both were absolutely delicious and I’ll definitely be back.

Tried a couple of times to go there but their shop was always closed. So maybe it close permanently but it looks like a great place to eat if they ever reopen it. I would like to try it.

I felt sorry for the staff since it seems they are short-staffed and greatly overburdened. However, the sanitary standards were worrying. People who were cooking were either wearing their masks improperly or not wearing one. There was no apparent change of gloves between cleaning customer tables or taking credit cards and returning to make food. I would suggest keeping two different colors of gloves so that they can remind themselves to change and to make it more obvious that they are changing them. People cooking were also touching their noses and faces during food preparation. There was a long wait time but I didnt mind since a sign on the door warned about short staffing and the wait time. I give four stars for this review because I believe Covid has greatly impacted this business.

Really, REALLY poor customer service. On top of that, the main part, the food is seriously just subpar. Not even worth going to. Cramped place and literally only one server. The best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. There is literally nothing better then their egg and bacon sandwich on an evening bagel. I’ve traveled around the US and been to Jamaica but I’ve never tasted anything that is equivalent to this breakfast sandwich. On top of that I ordered a jumbo coffee and let me assure you they aren’t bluffing when they say “jumbo”. The prices are unbeatable for what you get! I paid four bucks for the sandwich and three bucks for a jumbo coffee. The cup is literally the size of my head! I will now be looking forward to ordering this same sandwich and coffee every Friday. Maybe next time I’ll see if I can get some cheese on my sandwich.

I love this place, Ive been here multiple times and the food is always great. Just wish they would wear a mask in these times. Honestly restaurants should have required masks before this while thing if you ask me. Anyway good food and youre supporting a local business. Dont come if youre in a rush though lol.

I went here for the first time and it was nothing short of wonderful! They make their own in house sauces and spreads which are all delicious. They were so generous and brought us a few flavors of house made cream cheese and hot sauces/jams to try for free which they also sell individually. I will definitely be back for the amazing customer service, hospitality and unique food.

This is where we go for our standing Saturday brunch date. Every. Week. So it must be good, right? I usually get either the bagels and lox or an Eggle-Bagel (a bagel with egg and cheese on it), the husbeast gets the Little Mo with meat (eggs, grits, sausage, and a bagel with cream cheese on the side), and everything is consistently tasty. The sweet tea is too sweet for me, so I usually opt for unsweetened -- they also do coffee right, when Im in the mood for that. But the star of the show is Johns homemade hot sauce. It goes on whatever Im eating, regardless. Its sweet, hot, datyl tang is perfect on eggs or on lox, trust me! The wait can be long sometimes, and on super-busy days it can take a while for the food to come out, but we never go there to rush a meal, we go there to enjoy our company and socialize.

This is a great non-chain local bagel place. Bagels are delicious, theres a great selection of bagels and a variety of spreads as well as a full breakfast menu for you non-bagel lovers. Excellent bagel to cream cheese ratio when eating in. Fairly small place and Im told it can be busy, so bring your patience. Come here and support your local businesses!

The bagels here are amazing and so is the rest of their menu. My husband and I have been loyal customers for over 5 years. However, this fall they hired someone at the front desk that unfortunately has horrible people skills, Zero de-escalation skills, and is provocative. On top of that, I have been there several times recently and they are not enforcing wearing masks inside the restaurant, which to me signifies disregards to health of their patrons.

The old man that runs this place is a petty and petulant child. I placed an order with Bagels Unlimited, and when I arrived the food was not ready and was told about another 15 mins, so I gladly waited outside in my vehicle, which was parked next to the curb in front of the restaurant. About 15 mins later, I came back into the store to check on if the food was ready, at which time Im informed that the old man running the place was angry that I was parked in front of the store, and because of this he was INTENTIONALLY dragging out my order to make me wait more.First, as a general life lesson, if you have a problem with something or someone you should address it with that person directly. I wouldve gladly moved my vehicle without hesitation. Second, I am a paying customer, whose food was already late, and to compound this you further delay the order in such a childish manner (the waitress acknowledged that the old man was acting unreasonably, too)? This guy clearly does not know how to do business or to treat his customers. This was the first and last time I ever set foot in this uncouth establishment, and Ill be sure to let my friends know to avoid Bagels Unlimited at all costs.For anyone reading this, just go to Metro Diner right next door. Much better food, and you will be treated properly. And on another note, the old man was NOT wearing a mask while preparing the food - all other employees were. Hopefully this place gets shut down soon, because it looks like there are some serious health violations going on, and not to mention that the owner has no business being in the customer service industry. Do NOT waste your time! There is one waitress, the owner cooking the food and some other person (I couldnt tell what his role was). We waited forever to receive food that wasnt good. At all! Ive never in my life had an omelette without cheese! I ordered wheat toast and got white. I ordered a sweet tea and got unsweetened tea. $16 (food, drink and tip) for the majority of it to be left on the table.

Stopped by for a quick morning takeout- service was horrible, it took over fifteen minutes to prepare two bagels. More importantly, none of the staff were wearing masks the entire time I was present despite have COVID-19 precaution warnings posted in the windows of the storefront. Very disappointed and will not be coming back again. Would not recommend to anyone.

I went there to eat, am from out of town was just passing through...am very worried for the future customers. Am on way home to Orlando which is 3hrs away from this bagel place and all I can think about is how this waitress is spreading germs during the covid-19 pandemic. there was one waitress only running the establishment.one cook guy in back who knows what he doing in back?... anyways, I sat for 15 min waiting. I noticed AND OBSERVED the waitress was handling all stations of work. She handles money, takes orders, greets customers,some without masks straight out of street, she uses pens, uses notepads,exchanges debit cards, makes food,cuts people food,hands food out, cleans dining tables, uses same white rag to clean tables, touches her glasses and face mask. She look like young waitress who has no idea how badly she spreading germs I ran out as soon as I got my meal. Which I made sure she didnt touch. She offered utensil and other things I said no, because she is using the SAME GLOVES BLUE/PURPLE IN COLOR ALL THROUGHOUT THE STORE AND NEVER CHANGE THE GLOVES ONCE. please if you go eat here tell her change up her gloves because when she walk away from every work station she at she supposed to change the gloves. She had this gloves on during my 20 minutes there touching everything in the place including food and cleaning. Please people be observant. The only thing good was my food and meal. But Im so afraid for future customers that may get sick because of the management negligence to properly train there waitress. Stopped by for 1/2 dozen bagels to go. Ten minutes later no bagels. Asked about my order and was told they were working on it. People that ordered sandwiches after me were getting their food. After waiting another 10 minutes I asked for my money back. Waitress seemed upset. They werent able to put 6 bagels in a bag in 20 minutes and the place was almost empty.Avoid the frustration and lack of customer service.

I understand when a place is busy, but I would have thought that the hostess/server would have at least acknowledged that there were people waiting to be served. My boyfriend and I stopped there around 8:45 on Saturday morning. There were four people in front of us in line, and I believe that two of them had already ordered. Not all of the tables were full, and we had hoped to get something to go. There appeared to be three people working. The lady towards the front kept taking drinks and cutlery to the tables and would only look in the direction of the kitchen, not towards the people waiting by the door. This avoidance behavior continued for at least 10 minutes. Two of the people in front of us got annoyed and chose to leave. We followed shortly behind. It appears that Bagels Unlimited is not concerned about having customers!

I went in there last tuesday . the waitress who was there was by herself I believe because I watched her run from taking orders to making them and cooking . she was very sweet. and apologetic for her not being able to go faster. I hope they get more help!!!

Theres a bench outside of the Bagels Unlimited. It says its reserved for their customers only. The bench wasnt occupied and my family of 3 sat there. One employee came out after about 5 minutes after we sat down and asked if we were going to eat at their establishment. We said no. She then said the bench is for their customers only. I asked if there were people waiting. No she said but theres a table open if we want to eat here. She wanted us to leave and not sit on the bench even though theres no one waiting. We left and we would have yielded the seats if they had people waiting. They wouldnt get our business in the future even if we wanted bagels. Small minds like that wont help with their business.

Learn customer service!!! I should never walk in to complaining workers unloading their feeling of defeat on a stranger at 9 in the morning. My order should never be taken with a huff and a sigh of indignation. My request for a specific bagel should not be treated like a bad obligation to the order taker*Update: my food took almost half an hour for a bagel sandwich, I was about to walk out when I told them suddenly my food was ready. Not sure if it had just been sitting there or what. And it was God awful. I couldnt finish it. They also had a poor bite Squad driver waiting there the whole time I was there. Those guys make money by the amount of deliveries they can do in an hour, if you have him waiting there for half an hour the mans not making money. Looking at some of these other reviews its a wonder this place remains in business

That’s the 3rd time that my husband and I come to this place and they make us wait more than 10 min waiting without any assistance. They have only 1 server that is clearly overwhelmed. It’s crystal clear that she needs more help but I assume the owner doesn’t care.. only go there if you have a looooooot of free time to wait

Great local breakfast place. The restaurant is not very big, so wait times can be a little long, especially on weekends. Staff is always very friendly, even when they are busy or seem to be short staffed. They have a great selection of bagel spreads and hot sauces to choose from. The portions are a good size for the price. Also, they have some of the best iced coffee in town and it has free refills! Hands down, my favorite breakfast place in town.

Stop in here for a bagel before work somewhat regularly. Bagels are always good with a generous amount of spread. Nice hole in the wall diner feel on the inside. Great place to go for good food without dealing with crazy lines or long waits

Abandon all hope you who enter here. We began to question our existence since the waitress denied it. It took over an hour to order and be served breakfast, cold bland bagels and omlets with canned vegetables. Best to consider coffee self-serve.

Ive been here twice and loved it both times. The service is always friendly and excellent. They are fast and keep your coffee cup full. They offer homemade bagels and cream cheese. I recommend the asiago cheese bagel with low-fat veggie cream cheese. They have a variety of bagels, cream cheeses, breakfast sandwiches, traditional breakfast items, and lunch items. Great place if you need to get in and out in a hurry or if you just want to sit back and enjoy the paper.

This place has excellent bagels!! They cram so much topping onto your bagel to the point where you cant even see the bagel beneath it. I opted for an everything bagel and was shocked at the amount of poppy seeds, sesame seeds, onion, etc. that they were able to load on there. The bread is undercooked, so if thats something you like, youll really enjoy it. My only issue was that on the bottom of the bagel, it was a little too undercooked to the point where the dough had a strange consistency.

Ordered a steak and cheese (Asiago) omelette with sliced tomatoes, home fries and bagel with veggie cream cheese and was very disappointed that the omelette came with processed american cheese. YUCK, was so very salty. Also the bagel was pre-smeared which made it limp and a bit soggy. I would have preferred to spread the cream cheese myself. Probably wont order again

This place rocks, all 50 square feet of it. Its super small, but really awesome local food. As a first timer who was a little lost on the menu, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful--the pancakes are gigantic, and the hearty w/ meat is really good if you cant make up your mind on anything else. Also, it was the owners birthday and they handed out shots to the whole restaurant....at 12 in the afternoon. Great atmosphere, gotta check this place out.

Each time I go back, I keep hoping this place will redeem itself... Unfortunately this is the 3rd and last time I will go there. The food is cheap, plentiful, and cooked well... Yet it does not make up for the service. Each time I have gone there, the service has progressively gotten worse. This time around I went with my boyfriend for breakfast and we got stuck with the old lady. She was flat out rude. No offense, but it was my birthday today and I didnt exactly plan on being yelled at, just because I didnt know that with the pizza bagel you could actually choose what type of bagel you want. After that we were flat out ignored for the rest of our time there. She did not come over to ask how the food was, if we wanted refills (which we needed), drop off the box I needed, or the check. I had to walk up to the counter to get the box AND get the check... As someone who has been a server the past three years while in college up here, I think Im more understanding than most people my age.. There are so many breakfast places around here, so dont waste your time at this one.

I at least appreciated our kind server apologizing for the seemingly infinite wait for food and dirty cups. I could barely stomach the condition of the restaurant. The food was decent but the whole time I was in there, I was hoping Gordon Ramsey was in disguise at another table.

I will warn that this is a very small establishment. There are only so many people that can be seated, and there tends to be a wait unless you go in at the right time. It is very much a hole-in-the-wall mom and pop restaurant that has its own charm if you like that sort of stuff.That said, the food is absolutely amazing. Their bagels are delicious, their food is fresh and cooked to order. I never have a bad experience there. If you have the patience to deal with the wait, its a great place to eat at.

Staff was very unprofessional and so unorganized. We got there and they said the time to wait for our food would be an hour. We come back an hour later and food is not ready yet. I asked again and they said another 10 minutes so we waited and waited and...waited. It took 3 hours for our order to come out and on top of that they skipped this one groups order and guess how long they had been waiting? For 4 hours.... that is why they are unorganized. Also they messed up our order. We paid for a three egg special and they gave both of us a two egg special. Never again will I step foot in their restaurant.

Been going here off and on for 3-4 years. Last 2-3 times Ive ordered food its taken a ridiculously long and its not worth the hassle. Almost an hour for a called in to-go order for 3 bagels + a hash brown. They were barely toasted when I did get them. The staff were nice enough but they dont have a second to breathe. They have one woman working the entire restaurant, one woman making bagels, and John in the back on the grill. Wont ever be going back.

Awesome place, especially for breakfast! You definitely get your moneys worth in food. The owners/staff are some of the sweetest people in the restaurant business you can meet around here. They made us feel like family and even showed us their collection of hot sauces offering us some to try at home. If youre looking for a great mom and pop type of atmosphere, thats one of the best here in Gainesville!

This is an awesome hole-in-the-wall restaurant. I was very hungry and ordered accordingly even against the waitresss (owners wife?) suggestion. I then realized why, the portions were very large and I ended up having to bring home tons of left overs. BTW they have some incredible salsa that went great with my breakfast burrito, make sure to ask for it.

Bagels is such a great place. I order from here at least twice a week. Their service is great even when they have hundreds of people wanting something in this tiny restaurant. The decor and comfort of the restaurant really makes me feel welcomed. If you’re in Gainesville, stop by at bagels for a tastey meal !

Their bagels are delicious, their staff are sweet, and there are a good number of options for breakfast and lunch. Definitely try this place if youre hungover and need a grease pile to soak up last nights alcohol and regret.Be prepared for a wait on weekend mornings! Pro tip: call ahead for pickup. Usually takes 15-20 minutes or 20-30 when theyre busy.

OH MY GOD!!!! My husband and I just ate at Bagels Unlimited on 34th Street in Gainesville, and I can’t remember the last time I had such an amazing breakfast! By far THEE BEST Place to eat! The bacon was incredible, home fries out of this world with amazing flavor, the pancakes bigger then our heads soft in the inside, soft crunch on the outside and tasted like cake!!! Absolutely to die for!!!!The service was perfect friendly and the place was busy especially for a Monday! DO NOT miss out!!! Cook/ Owner was friendly and a very nice man and so were the other employees! Perfection all around! Thank you so much can’t wait to try the Philly Cheese Steak here!

Drove up from Ocala for some Bagles as a first time customer and left very impressed. The staff was supper friendly, the service time was above average and the dozen bagles were so soft and the flavors were unexpectedly delicious. We will definitely go back for more.

So-So. Very packed...bagels okay. Veggie cream cheese VERY raw onion taste. It is what it is...not good, not bad. Just okay. Unfortunately, Einstein bagels are better, which is not saying much.

Bagels unlimited was one of my favorite places during my undergrad, and when my girlfriend and I were passing through town we thought thatd be a great treat.It seems like it has gone done significantly in the past few months, with menu changes (removing some of our favorites) as well as lower quality wait staff. We ordered two bagels and two sides which ended up costing 30 bucks. We were the only ones at the resteraunt and after 40 mins the bagels came unprepared (DIY style) and only came with onions and the nova. No cream cheese or capers like how it used to be. We wouldve been better off having just gone to metro, spending less, and getting better/more food, and better wait staff.

I really want to like this place. Its too hot! Please fix your air conditioning. I have gone a few times. The food is average; and a little over-priced for what you get. The people are very nice. But, for the love of God, can you PLEASE fix your air conditioning? Its been broken for over a year. :(

Bagels Unlimited has been my favorite breakfast spot for the 10 years Ive lived in Gainesville. It has the warm local feel, food is always great and the staff are awesome. Owner, John, does it right. I have a hard time deciding what to eat, but I recommend the CHARLIE! I delicious, fresh potato knish topped with cheese and eggs (I prefer over medium) and a side of spicy mustard! Think I need to head over there before they close...

Food was good, but we waited over an hour to be served. Had to ask for coffee refills multiple times before we received it. Were never asked about other drink refills. Terrible service, however waitresss family who was eating there, received great service.

Ive been going here for three years and lately its really gone downhill. Food is fantastic but service is ABSOLUTELY NOT! For the past three times we came in, there is one server running the whole store, which apparently means that you get no service. We asked for water twice throughout our meal and never received any regardless of the server bringing water to everyone else and passing us along the way. Food took an hour to get to us but was good when we finally received it. The server did not check on us one single time past delivering us coffee (when we again asked for water). As good as the food is, it isnt worth the lack of service, dehydration and exorbitant waiting times.

For a college student, this is A+food. Hella cheap and filled me up from 7:30am til my 12 oclock break, for $2 (I got a big blueberry muffin) really good food.

Came here after a night of heavy drinking, and it was alright. I ordered the the special with meat which included a variety of things. My sunny side egg was slightly under cooked (whites were still see through) and my turkey bacon was burnt to hell. Luckily they sent out some more turkey bacon that was cooked properly. The service was lacking and it seemed like everybody wasnt on the same page. We had to ask the staff a few times for things they had left out. Despite all of that, the hash browns turned out really good. Overall, this place is nothing more and nothing less than your average breakfast joint.

Its not bad. A little too greasy griddle for what I was hungry for the day I ate there, but thats okay! Theyve got a large selection of bagels for a small diner-like place. I will try them again (probably on a day Im hungover because thats when I crave greasy food).
