Love it. Im from out of town and found this grocery to be an absolute GEM.. The variety was excellent. The woman working in the deli was completely lovely! It was super clean!

Ive been shopping on and off at J&J for 35 years. It has a lot of fond memories. However the lack of care for store and random smells (even with a mask) were awful. There was no greeting at all and the bag boy was so enthralled with talking/flirting with the cashier he didnt put my groceries in the cart after he bagged them. It makes me very sad to see what it has become.

❤ Love when they have the truck load meat sale. I just got like 75lbs of meats for less then $220.( 18 Ny steaks, 12 thick pork chops, 2 like 2 lb boneless pork loin roast, 4 3.5lb pork roast, 4 top sirloin steaks, 2 2.5lbs sirloin roast. 10lb of bacon, 14lbs ground beef, 8lb ham i believe that is all on the meats also got some can foods n a few other things. But I think i got great deals forsure so if u need to fill freeze with meats this is the time tomorrow 11-25 is the last day

Was ok grocery store, heavily ethnic now . Did not find what I was looking for. But I did find a good cinnamon bun and loaf of French bread for 89 cents.

Got a fantastic deal on meat here. The quality was amazing as well. They had a truckload meat sale going on. New york strip for 4.99lb and ground beef for 1.99lb. Lines took a little long but not that bad compared to walmart these days.

Employees are very helpful, but make sure items ring up the right price and that sale items are peiced im accordance with the circular. Bathrooms are gross, use the bathroom before you go.

Always have fresh produce at good prices. They also have a variety of Mexican, Asian and Caribbean food.

I really like J&J the employees are very helpful and nice they had handy cap parking and they have my shrimp with the heads on them fresh and frozen and they have crab and craw fish and they also have Asian food also

I am awarding points for Service. I find their pricing to be more expensive than any other grocery store in Gainesville. That surprised me quite a bit as I had always heard they were lower. I should have written some examples down to share cuz there was nothing in the store I can find is less expensive at any other place I go shopping. Quick example theres not a soda in there in a 2L plastic bottle for less than a dollar 19 even the feo Shasta brands are that expensive. Simply in my opinion a bit pricey for my taste.

I, like J&J food store ! I, do a lot, of shopping there ! Its close, and convenient, for me !

Its got a lovely hometown feel to it. Everyone is friendly as well as knowledgeable. Its got some tough competition just down the road, but their customers have really stuck with them. They also stepped their game up to compete with competition. You cant put out a small town business as Long as they are pleasing their clients.

They are a HomeTown grocery store and have a great staff very kind and courteous people

They have great meat sales every couple of months. Yesterday boneless, skinless, chicken breast .99¢ a pound. Fresh chicken not frozen! Also fresh local produce.

I love this store! This store has the feeling of a Mom & Pop store! The staff are always nice, kind & friendly! They always have what I need & if they don’t they will get it for you! I went in to send money Western Union. They were super fast and super nice! I found them using Google. I look forward to going back and shopping there. It seems like a very nice and clean grocery store.

Store had all necessity items. Sticking shelves while We were there. They were very helpful and knowledgeable about the products.

My favourite place to fill the larder and other incidentals. Always with a fair crowd,well stocked and very well trained cashiers. Theres an ambitiously appointed deli in back. A help desk up front. Long time employees know where all the bones are buried. Speaking of which the have a neo old world butcher shop and fish monger. Not bad considering the area. They still handle and unload the carts. Imagine in this day and age. Trunk side service. Plenty of parking. Handicapped parking with...,.now wait for it...... electric scooters with up front baskets. One of the areas Institutions of higher chewing.

It is an amazing supermarket with hidden gems inside it .I found Everglades seasonings on a bottom shelf ..met them at along ago bbq contest in Sebring,fl.their hometown..not advertised baby back ribs for 2.49 a lb (frozen)

Their sales are great! You need to be aware of the ratings on the meat. Sometimes the beef sales are very low quality cuts.

Had a great guick little visit. Honey crisp apples for 99cents a pound you better believe i turned that blinker on to get the most expensive apple that i happen to love. Also they were closing the deli for the day and i got plenty to put in thr fridge for later meals sense i dont cook i was so excited about my purchases!

Good place to get a steak. To bad they closed it because of the hobo murders and slicing up their meat.

This place is not good to shop any more cheaping people out they points. Ive told them 3months ago . They my points wasnt going to my card. The got my card said they was going to fix it. Still have done nothing about it. They have gotten to be to high with prices . And dont do as they say. Very poor management so I dont think I will shop with them .
