It is kind of like a garage sale graveyard. You know all the things that didnt sell at a garage sale, they go to live here forever. Best place to browse but nothing really worthy of purchasing. Most items should have been at the dump 15 years ago.

WARNING: DO NOT BUY ANY ELECTRONICS FROM HERE IF YOU DO NOY KNOW HOW TO REPAIR THEM.Even if you have the receipt they will not accept returns and I wouldnt try an equal exchange cuz most everything in there is broken. They really need to be more choosy with what they accept in terms of electronics and appliances.

Im from out of town and me and my buddy came to Gainsville on a wish to find a specific thing...an ac unit. We were on a real tight budget due to a contractor stealing supplies from the job. We were told outrageous prices by every place we stopped. We went out on a limb and stopped here. They had a couple ac units and the owner was polite and fair on the prices. Even got to haggle with the price. What an amazing place this is. From just the visual aspect to the friendly and helpful staff it was a great experience. I will be back

Really great place. Im a big vintage electronics and machines guy and a lot of what they have is broken but if you pick through enough you can find good working stuff. On top of that, the whole point is for finding parts and scrap to REPURPOSE. Lots of other useful stuff like scraps of building materials, ancient bolts of cloth, bits of wood and metal and so on. Definitely recommend if you are the industrious/DIY type.

Shopped here for a screen door. I have COPD which makes it hard for me to expel carbon dioxide, so I have to take my mask down on occasion to breath. The clerks there were having a totoal chit fit because my mask wasnt covering my nose. I get it there is a virus out there that has a 99.7% survival rate... If you are that scared of this virus STAY HOME, but let the rest of the world keep on living a normal life...

This place is DISGUSTINGLY over priced! I was completely shocked at the prices on everything! A stove that should be $20 TOPS was $175, it was missing so much and probably doesn’t work. and that’s the tip! It’s all donated to them and should not be so overpriced!

Every Community Should Have One🤗I am a Huge Fan. Variety is great, staff are friendly and helpful. Patience usually means i will find what i want. Most recently it was used fencing for protecting new fruit trees. Also grateful to have a place to bring those items that have usefulness but not to me. The only drawback is pricing - many things higher than reasonable. This review from an elder who has shopped second hand and salvage all of my adult life.

Very uncomfortable setting. I dont think many people there actually associate with people of color. They seem unable to engage in casual conversation.I constantly find myself being watched and staff magically standing at the end of whatever section that I may be at. Today I watched the young lady let 3 customers make up the price that they wanted to pay which in all cases was $2 but when my wife and I approached her she decided it was time to hunt down 2 other employees to make up a total that was equal to purchasing the items new.

What a great idea! You never know what youll find here, but if you need something and youre on a budget, then make this place your first stop. Theres a lot of just-plain-junk to sift through, but there are useful items to find - IF you have the time to look, because the service is almost non-existent. They have some cool and useful stuff, and its a fun place to look around, but I dont care for their pricing strategy. They say name your price, but are often heard haggling with customers because they want more than is offered. Also, a lot of stuff now has price tags, and is not cheap considering they got it FREE! I was all about the Repurpose Project when I first found out about it, but I dont really go there anymore. You can get better deals on old stuff at Goodwill or a yard sale.

Im sorry but the lady at the desk today does not know how to price vintage items. One i saw some very nice steak knives from England she looked them up an said oh sets of knives are listed at 200.00. First u have too see how long they have been posted an 2 if anyone is bidding on them. At the store there was probably 12 of then. She said i will price them $10 each. I was like know way, way too high. Second i found some lapel pins, kinda small an said 1990 an up on them, she said well $3 each i said no thank you. I explained to her single ones on ebay that are $3 are usually in the 1940/1950 and many times you can find a lot of 30 listed for $30 bucks. I feel like seeing how this place is like a big junk sale prices would be much lower. Plus you have to search very hard to find odds an ends. The people were extremely friendly an helpful i just hope they would have better prices!

If you believe in reusing things, not throwing away things that others can reuse, creative reuse, and upcycling, then the Repurpose Project is the place for you. Few items are priced. You make an offer of what you feel is a fair price for most of their items. Craft supplies, furniture, home decor, fixtures, doors, windows, building supplies -- no telling what will be there from one week to the next, but its always an adventure. No clothes.

Lots of knick knacks, unusual pieces that you can refurbish your home with. Tiles Chrome pieces, bottles, picture frames, mirrors. Its good. Not very Organized, pretty crammed kind of looks like somebodys junk yard, but you can definitely find a lot of useful pieces out there and the great thing is that nothing is individually priced they just ask you what you would like to pay for whatever peace you select. thats the coolest part. I wish Goodwill stores and refurbished stores, would follow their lead in that regard.☺

I used to shop here when they had better volunteers but the service has been going downhill lately. They overprice most of their better items higher than craigslist and ebay. Last time I was there a female volunteer followed me all the way around the building and threatened to call the police on me for shoplifting even though I didnt. What a shame. They just lost a valuable customer and I will not buy from them or donate to them again. They should let mentally healthy people volunteer there, hire quality workers, or just close down.
