Good Service, the sales person was very knowledgeable about the washer and dryer we were interested in and explained the differences between the 3 models. The prices were reasonable, the delivery and set-up was on time and professional and I absolutely LOVE my Speed Queen washer and dryer. Made in America and all parts are metal and not plastic. I would highly recommend them. I researched for months and based on many other recommendations we decided to check them out. Im glad I did.

They will only help when they think they have a sale. Not very good at customer service. After the sale it is over, if you need assistance with your purchase you are out of luck. Several friends and family have dealt with them and have had the same experience. Dont recommend them unless you need small item that they have in stock and absolutely need it. Most reviews here are correct, the owner is not very nice unless you are buying something. After the sale they turn into shady salespeople.

Purchased a new GE Hotpoint washer and dryer from Martins on Oct 20th. Ran maybe 10 loads before it stopped agitating, spinning and draining!MARTINS offers zero assistance with getting service call from GE expedited. Takes no responsibility for a malfunctioning BRAND NEW WASHER.Manager did not even offer to try to intervene.... today is NOV 20th. I still have NO SCHEDULED REPAIR!hold time at GE is over an hour! Have left request for return call twice.. NO RESPONSE!DO NOT BUY FROM MARTIN, IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN... THEY WILL TAKE YOUR CASH EXPEDITIOUSLY THOUGH!!!

I went to the store next to Home Depot in gainesville florida yesterday about a upright freezer the sales man showed us one that was 300$ but had a few marks on it which was fine in was going in laundry room so not a problem so we went home to measure the space went back day the sign was changed from 300$ to 400$ and they said its always 400$ I said no we were here yesterday and you showed us the same one dents and all for 300$ he said who told you that and I started laughing saying you did so he said he would work something out with us but we declined something wasnt right seemed shady so we left

Bait and switch here. Told me on phone it was a new freezer and when I got it and had a problem first day in, he said, oh it was a scratch and dent, and you bought the one year warranty so you have to go through the maker for service. Really! Not even a 30 day warranty in store and why didn’t you say it was scratch and dent on phone before it was delivered. Well, also I didn’t “buy” the warranty, it comes with all new appliances! Ugh! Just horrible to deal with and three weeks later finally my freezer is working with no help from them! Terrible will never ever recommend them to anyone!

Not sure why this place gets such a bad rap. We recently went and got a new washer, dryer and freezer. Robert our sales person was wonderful. He took the time to show us everything and answer all our questions. When asked about what his opinion was on what he would have in his home he gave it honestly. I appreciated that. The young men that delivered to our home were very nice and professional. They were quick and cleaned up after themselves. They even took a few extra moments to show me how to work everything. I will definitely be Telling everyone and we will be back in the future.

Have purchased two refrigerators from Martin Appliance. Both times very pleased. First time, my refrigerator died the day before Thanksgiving! We had a new refrigerator delivered within a few hours Great price, installed professionally! Then a few years later, a second refrigerator we had died. Went over, got great price on another refrigerator. Delivered few hours later! I am so pleased with staff and delivery people!

I dont know about their appliance prices, but their parts prices are RIDICULOUS! Im not complaining about parts prices in general - which can be unreasonably high - Im talking about Martins Appliance Family parts prices. I went in to buy an oven element, with the old one in my hand, and was told they absolutely HAD to have a model number. I accepted that and went back home to get the model number as they would absolutely NOT take the part back, even unused. (WTF?) Called them, gave them the number and they quoted me $80 for the element, which seemed very high to me, as Id bought oven elements before for $30-35. I called Appliance Parts, who told me that I could bring the old element in and they could most likely match it to the new part, BUT a model number would be useful. They quoted me $29 for the identical part! I called Martins back and asked them if theyll match other local prices and they said absolutely not! Do NOT confuse this store with the Martins on Main St., where Ive often bought parts at reasonable prices. Clearly, this one by Home Depot is trying to trade on the good name of the one on Main St.

We bought a frigidaire gallery side by side refrigerator from Martin Appliance Family. Service was friendly and very well priced. Delivery was excellent. About 1/2 hour an error code appeared on the unit. The service department came out the next day and fixed the issue. We have nothing but praise for Martin Appliance Family.

Do not mistake this place for the wonderful and friendly people at Martins Family Appliance on N. Main. I did and I am so sorry! I went to Martin Appliance Family at Tower Center, thinking it was a branch store to the other Martins. The man I encountered was an ass. My daughter bought a part from him, but, it didnt fit. I went to take it back. This is what I was told, Just because you dont know what you are doing, why should I give you your money back? He told me I needed an appliance repair person. I left and went to the Martins Family Appliance store. There, they explained to me that the part we have WILL work, but, it has to be bent and shaped to fit. (It was for the plug-in for the burner coil.) The guy at this place, Martin Appliance Family at Tower Center, didnt bother to tell me this. I think his idea was making technician fees on top of the part sale. If this is how they do business, RUN!

When I called back to inquire about having it installed correctly they informed me that this would be an additional fee and service call. Very disappointed that they do not consider it important to install it correctly to start with!

This store is Martin Appliance Family. The store with the great reputation is Martin Family Appliance. They are not sister stores like people assume. Martin Family Appliance is owned by two guys who will bend over backwards to help you, while the uncle who owns this store is a crook. He uses the other stores reputation to fool people into thinking they are the same store. Why else would he name his store with the same words just in a different order?I bought a piece for my oven here. Walked to the door, opened it, then decided 42 dollars was way to much for an oven element, turned around and walked back to return it.The clerk said he couldnt do it because it had been out of the store. I thought he was kidding, but he was serious. I told him he had watched me the entire time, and I was never out of his sight. He told me the policy was if it had been out of the store I could not return it, and by touching the door handle I had been out of the store. Then he made the most ludicrous statement I have ever heard, How do I know its the same element? Unless Im the greatest magician alive and can conjure objects from thin air thats just ignorant.Dont confuse the two stores. Go to MARTINS FAMILY APPLIANCES, not this cut rate clip joint.

Made an appointment directly with the manager to have a washer repaired. We agreed on a time that would work with my work schedule. Technician showed up 2 hours early while I was still at work. Tech claimed he had other jobs and didn’t know if he could come back at the set appt time. I called the store manager directly to complain, he told me he was going to make some calls and would call me back. That was 3 days ago still waiting (not)....would NOT recommend.

I would give negative stars if I could. I bought and picked up a new dishwasher and installed it ourselves. There is clearly a latching issue, and the dishwasher wont stay on. After several phone calls I was told I could return the dishwasher and get another one. I dont have time to bring new not working disher back. I have offered to pay for delivery and install of new one, and they refuse to take the the new one that doesnt work and return it themselves. I had to go out of my way to buy something from you, I feel you should go out of your way and make things right for me........................................

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is the most unorganized place of business (using that term very loosely) that I have ever dealt with in my life. First I purchase a used dryer and they come to deliver it and they drop it down the stairs breaking it. They then LIE to me that they didnt have all the parts to hook it up so they would come back the following day. No one ever showed up so I called, only to find out that they had in fact dropped it and it broke so they would replace it. The following week they brought another used dryer to my house only for it to not work properly. It would rarely actually turn on and eventually it stopped turning on all together and started making a burning smell. I call because they obviously brought me the worst dryer they had in the store and they told me a technician would come out to fix or replace it. The day they are to come out, no one shows up again. I call and they say the technician has called out sick and they dont know when he will be back so they will call me. Completely unprofessional staff and they do not care about their customers. I have been going back and forth with them over a working dryer for over a month now. I just want my money back and Ill go somewhere else.

I don’t recommend using this Martin. Possibly the one downtown is more customer-focused. Delivery was a total nightmare. Many reschedules. Every time I had to call them to ask where delivery was. Plus, I’d have to listen to long list of reasons why they didn’t get to my delivery. Once they did deliver, they left the old one behind saying they would come back to pick it up. Two months later and the “new” used one has stopped working. They never picked up the old one, and they want us to bring their broken one to them to fix.

Let me tell my experience with Martins Appliance by home depot. So my dryer stopped working due to a broken belt. I called martains appliance and they told me $100 for them to pick it up and diagnose or $50 if I bring it in. I took it in and the turn around was about a week. I was called to pick it up and paid $127 for the belt replacement in addition to the $50. They were kind enough to lend me their dolly to help me offload the dryer when I got home. I did not install the dryer until a couple of days. To my dismay, the dryer will not power on, which was not the reason why I took it in. I went to the store this Saturday and the tech got my address and said he will come to my house and take a look at. He didnt show and did not call after waiting at home for him for more than 4hours. I called the store and the owner was there and he said he will get in touch with the tech. Well, no one called this Saturday or Sunday and no tech stopped by my house. I called Monday and the first call someone hanged up. I called again and they were able to put me in touch with the tech. He promised to be there later on in the afternoon and he called to say he was running behind but I am on the schedule. Waited all afternoon and no one came to repair the dryer. If I had known this was going to be such an ordeal, I could have bought a cheaply used dryer. Buy local, support local business... This is what I get in return as a consumer? This will not have happened had I gone to Lowes or Home Depot.

Recently I had the repair guy come out to check our washer and dryer because we were getting rust spots on our clothes. He told me that the dryer was rusty and that we needed to buy a new one (of course we could get a discount if we bought it from Martin). I went to Martin, but the prices were too high, so I bought one somewhere else. Our clothes continue to be ruined by the rust stains, so it was not the dryer. We threw away a perfectly good dryer for no reason. I called Gary and he sent the repair guy back. He came while I was gone and left a note that only said, I dont see any problem with the washer. I have tried to call Gary multiple times and he refuses to call me back. The last time I called the manager actually hung up on me. I have heard stories and read reviews about what an unprofessional, immature, whiny baby Gary is and now I see that it is all true. He only cares about making the sale, not about delivering any kind of service. What kind of business owner wont even return a phone call? Total jerk.I submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and he hasnt bothered to respond to that, either. I suppose he cant be bothered by his customers.

Dont walk but run from this place. Mr. Martin is the most untrustworthy businessman I have ever met. He lies to cover up his other lies until they all unravel. He talks the talk and will tell you what you want to hear but can not be trusted after the sale. Mr. Martin does not return calls, he does not keep his word and it is truly amazing how he is still in business. This is not the place to buy an appliance or depend on them for repairs and I would urge you to shop else where and avoid the headache my wife and I experienced.

I have used Martins multiple times for a similar issue with a washing machine. This machine collects sediment from well water and corrupts or corrodes a sensor for the water level. I discussed this with them on the phone and gave them the part number they have replaced 3 times. They arrive at my house without the part and proceed to tell me it will be at least 3 days before they can have get the part. They also didnt call before coming as we had discussed when they service order was placed.The repair takes well under an hour and I can order the part from Ebay for 2/3 of what they charge. I literally just needed them to install it.Their customer service was non-existent when their repair failed 3 times. It was worse when I expressed frustration at waiting at my home for a service call for them to read my washer number and tell me they didnt have the part I told them on the phone they needed.I will be going with someone else for service in the future.

BUYER BEWARE! We purchased an upright freezer on 9/20/16. It stopped working 9/1/18. We paid $952.94 for a freezer that worked less than 2 years. This freezer, including its $79.50 surge protector, was housed in an enclosed building, sothere was no reason for it to be compromised. After some research and a call to Frigidare, we discovered that the freezer was not a 2016 model. According to the serial number it was manufactured in August of 2013. One would expect Martin Appliance to disclose that they sold us a freezer that was 3 years old. We will NEVER shop here again.

Do not buy from here! Bought a dryer from Martin Appliances on Tower road, the guy went on and on that it was the best dryer in the store. Not even a month later it stopped working, I live an hour from the place and they told me I have to bring it in. Brought it in, worked for another month, stopped working again. I was sold two faulty washing machines and then told that they had nothing to replace it with, but that I would have to return the machine to the store myself and wait 1-2 weeks for a check refund (minus a restocking fee) despite having paid for it on a credit card. Dont waste your time or money at this store! Despite having been around for many years, they do not do good business in my opinion.

I bought a scratch and dent refrigerator on 2/20/19 for only $1000 including delivery at the Martin store in the Tower Center by Home depot. Robert Jammer helped me. He is very polite and personable, and he knows the inventory like the back of his hand. I told him the size and he showed me all the refrigerators that would work. They have a nice selection and there were more than a few that I liked. I didnt mind if there were dents on the sides because I have cabinets on one side and a wall on the other. I found one that looked perfect from the front. I could not see the sides because it was between other refrigerators but as stated, sides didnt matter. Unfortunately, the refrigerator I chose was still wrapped in a clear protective plastic adessive wrap, and after my old refrigerator was removed and the new one was installed, the truckers finally removed the wrap and there was a huge undetected unsightly gash in the door. Even though the wrapping was mostly transparent and partially unpeeled at the store, I dont think Mr. Jammer knew of the gash. Mr. Jammer knew he would not lose a sale. I would have just bought a different refrigerator if the gash was revealed. He knew there were several I liked, and he was aware I was only concerned about the front. We together saw some with minor dents on the doors that I would not accept. So, the warning is never purchase anything that is not completely and totally visible. Even though I think everything was done honestly and professionally, Im afraid I cannot recommend this store to a friend because of the slight chance there could have been deception, a tactic that is reprehensible today and one that would send customers scurrying to department stores for appliance purchasing. My apprehension is unfortunate, But perhaps this advice will help prepare other potential buyers to be more perceptive so there will be no chance of ill feelings toward a good company, with a good staff, good products, good service, good prices and good intentions. And a company, that will, hopefully, always maintain its good reputation and ethics.

We bought a washer and dryer less than 5 months ago. The week we brought them home the dryer broke. I called and they honored their warranty however the guy showed up 3 hours after the time he had given me he was going to be there by and didnt bother to call and when I called to ask where they were they were very rude about it. Fast forward two weeks the dryer broke again doing the same thing it was doing when their guy fixed it, I called to tell them they said their warranty was up nothing they could do even though it was the same part they replace. Aggravated at this point, but no biggie my boyfriend is a maintenance man we got the part and fixed it. A month later the dryer burnt up the same part again and it now has been fixed 3 times so a lot more aggravated with the broken dryer they gave us. Now our washing machine broke went in the store asked for the part because my boyfriend knows how to fix it he says its going to be 159.00 when we paid 200.00 for the whole washer. At this point I will NEVER give them my business again. I would suggest people go elsewhere. This is no doubt the worst customer service Ive ever had and Ive very disappointed in the company.

Lowes decided to refer this location to my father...BAD IDEA!! This place kept my father stove for 2 months just to order a part for temperature regulations; wouldve probably kept it longer if my father didnt keep calling (bad customer service)! When he finally got the stove back, a rack from inside the stove was missing AND the cord to plug the stove in was missing! When called about the missing parts, the employee said they COULD NOT FIND THE MISSING PARTS! ..Horrible place, people please do not take your items to this place.

I visited Martin Appliance to purchase a replacement terminal block for my dryer on Saturday. The staff didnt have the part on hand, so they ordered it. I was told the order wouldnt go through until Monday, but I paid in full with cash and left. I was surprised at how expensive the part was, but I assumed that was the nature of the beast. Curious if I had been ripped off, I checked with Home Depot and discovered I had paid a nearly 900% markup! I called the next day to see if I could cancel the order because of this discovery and the staff/owner insisted all purchases are final. I paid a small price to learn where not to shop.
