I called & asked for price to repair 3’x4’ window screen and was told $10. My daughter (OSU student) took the screen in and they charged her $41! Avoid this place!!!!

Worst experience ever for our bathroom glass door. I have never posted a review before thats how bad this was people. They were almost 2 weeks late and just ignored our inquiry and said it will be delivered when its delivered and if its broken or whatever the case is its final and we still have not received anything. He then walked into the back room and left the lobby apparently done with the conversation. Worst customer service ever. I payed top dollar because they said they would have it done in the time frame we needed. Now my contractor has another job and i am eating the loss for their terrible service. Very rude to a 65 year old woman who was trying to check the status of what she paid for.

I needed some custom pieces of glass cut for a DIY aquarium sump I was building. All 12 of the pieces were cut to my exact specifications. They were all packaged safely and neetly for me when I went to pick everything up. I will definitely be back fir any future glass projects. Friendly staff and great prices for what I needed. 1/4 inch plate glass with sanded edges.

Bought a complete screen. There had been a miscommunication during the order process and as a result there were some issues with the screen. I called promptly to advise of the issue. Capitol City quickly resolved the issue to my satisfaction. Highly recommend!! Great customer service!

Called to get my cracked glass fixed at the beginning of April 2017.First, the on-site estimator did not show up on the day they said they would. I called them the next morning and they said they had a work emergency and would be there the following day. They showed up as scheduled the following day.Second, after receiving my estimate and speaking with the on-site technician, I was told to call them the next day to schedule when my glass could be repaired. The next morning, I called to schedule my replacement, and they said they would call me in 2 weeks to finalize a specific time.Two weeks went by, and I did not receive a call. So I called them again, and they said it would be two weeks before they could replace the glass. I mentioned it was for a home closing and they said they could be there in the next day or two to fix the glass and that they would call me. Two days past, and I did not receive a call.I called back again, and was given the same garbage they said the previous time. That it would be two weeks before they could fit me it, then when I mentioned it was for a home closing, they said some one would call me in the next day or two. This process is now in iteration #4.It is now one week before I sell my house, and the window is yet to be fixed. Great job Capitol City Glass! You run a top notch business!

Excellent place if you need to order replacement glass

We had a special back-painted tempered piece from another company that was a hair too big. These guys had no problem gently sanding down this material and the price was right. A high-risk process that was successful! Thanks Capitol City!

I called to get an estimate for a few window replacements. Someone named Andy came out to measure on October 21. I have been calling weekly for someone to provide me with the estimate to get the windows and patio door glass replaced. Never received the estimate. The week of November 11, I was told they cant find the estimates but someone would be back out on November 19 to re-measure. I called at 4pm on the 19th since nobody had shown up to re-meausre.... Capitol Glass never answered the phone. I called just a bit ago on November 20 and now I am being told that the patio door frame is damaged or has structural issues and they cant replace this glass when in fact, there is nothing wrong with the frame. When I asked about the other windows that need replacement I was told that they need to get a hold of Andy to ask him. They never came back out to re-measure, they dont show up when they tell you, they dont communicate with you and lose your estimates, they lie to you about not being able to do the work. Overall they dont want to do business.

We had an appointment scheduled for someone to come out to our home to give us a quote on a glass replacement for our sunroom. I was home the entire 2 hour window, and in fact was here the hour before that as well. No one came, no one called. My husband called when he got home half an hour after the window had closed. It was confirmed that we were on the schedule and would receive a call to reschedule the following day. It has been 2 days since then and we have yet to be contacted. We would have rescheduled had we actually been contacted, but will just use another business at this point.

I think it’s funny because a review from 2 days ago sounds like the exact issue I just had. If I could rate this company zero I would. It took almost a month of going back and fourth with this company to try to get the glass panel on my patio door replaced just for them to tell me that they couldn’t do it. First appointment was rescheduled because the tech called in sick, next the tech came out and said he couldn’t do it, then they sent another tech out who didn’t even bring the glass with him.I think they forgot about my appointment in general.I had to call them everytime to keep the process going until they finally just refunded my money.They are Extremely unprofessional and not reliable at all, they seem super unorganized.Don’t waste your time!

We had to replace the glass in the shower door in our travel trailer. We worked with David to squeeze this in between our travel outings and he was excellent to work with!! They appreciated our needs and got the work done a day before they promised. Thank you!!!

Very Very Very Unprofessional.... Called and got a pretty good price on a piece of glass for a shower wall. They seemed very busy and made me wait all day to return their promised call. After ordering the glass they called me back to inform me my credit card had not went through. After reviewing the charges I discovered they charged me the wrong amount, maxing my card out. They of course blamed it on the bank, but the charges were for amounts not even close to what we had agreed on. After 3 days of waiting all charges fell off except 1. When I called to ask for a refund, they tried to offer me a credit. After 10 min of hassling he agreed to refund the money. 1 week later and still no refund. Stay far far far away....

They are my go to guys for glass and screen replacements. We replaced our sliding glass patio doors when the seal broke and the glass was fogging. New doors were estimated over $1500, we had them replaced for a fraction of the price several years ago, and they have been great with everything else we need done. Thanks for being here!

I don’t typically post reviews, but I feel obliged to in this case. We were highly dissatisfied with the service we were provided. The two representatives sent to our apartment to measure the glass were extremely unprofessional and did not respect our home. Both were unclean and had a bad odor, and one of them leaned up against my clean freshly painted walls. What really upset me was when my husband turned around and saw one of them smoking a cigarette in our living room then went into our bathroom (without asking) and closed the door before we could even contest the cigarette or inform him that the toilet was not currently usable due to some plumbing repair and the water being shut off. He smoked in our newly painted bathroom and used the facilities, of course unable to flush. My husband had to ask one of the neighbors if we could fill some buckets with water to manually flush what he left in the toilet. They will not be allowed back in our home. We have taken our business elsewhere. Extremely unprofessional.

I called them and they seemed interested in doing the work.They sent a guy out to look at it and said that they needed to send out a different guy with the proper skillset. Said it would be a few days. A week goes by...nothing. I called and was told that he was going to be on vacation for the next week and that he would call me first thing Monday morning after returning.Monday comes...nothing.They suck! I dont know how they stay in business doing business like that.

I ordered 2 custom cuts of very thick glass for my Recording Studio Windows and they were cut perfectly. I have had nothing but great experiences from Capitol City Glass. Im not sure when these prior bad reviews have come through, but it seems like they have since fixed and customer service issues that the may have had.

I have never been compelled to write a review but after multiple bad experiences here, I felt it was my civic duty to warn all Columbus residents. If you would like a custom mirror with scratches this is the place. Do you like being given a time to pick up your order, only to arrive and be told it wasnt completed or even started? How about finding multiple scratches on your piece and being told that you are to picky and a hassle to deal with? If this is the type of customer service you are after than look no further. If you are a property owner looking for some glass or mirrors for rentals or perhaps locations where quality isnt an issue than you my friend are in luck. If you want quality do yourself a favor and pay a little extra somewhere else.

Called to get a piece of mirror cut for a custom mirror. Were told it would be ready the following Tuesday. However, our contractor could not pick it up until Thursday, but it was not ready. Nor was it ready on Friday. Called and were told we need to talk to Dave. Dave said they were really busy and it would not be ready until the following Monday or Tuesday. When my husband questioned Dave and explained that it wouldve been courteous if they wouldve called us and let us know, dave got defensive and told us to take our business elsewhere. So we will.Addition: after Dave/ owner told my husband to take our business elsewhere, he then charged out credit card weeks later. As other reviewers have said, steer clear of this company

I was quoted $60 dollars cheaper over the phone than they charged me when I came in with two windows for glass replacement. When returned, frames had missing/broken screws; the few screws in place were over tightened causing the frame to lap itself and fray outward.. only after spending time on fixing their mistakes was I able to install the window back in the sash.They said they would call when theyre finished, needless to say they forgot leaving me waiting.

They are courteous, fair, and they do very good work at a decent price definitely recommend this place.
