Quick and friendly. Prices are reasonable. You can actually park near the entrance. Keep in mind they do not have the high end selections such as a really good produce area, or a fresh delivery counter. Also very limited medication area. But when those items are not needed this is a great place to shop.

This FoodTown was a very clean, well-stocked store! The middle-aged caucasian manager was SOO personable that he actually laid a flat palm on my left shoulder as he directed me to the area of the store that I needed. Unfortunately, theres not a big enough demand for the miniature Dried Shrimp that I sought but it was an extremely reminiscent experience of how the old- golden days were. In the distant 70s/80s you could consider it touring a firetruck if you were fortunate enough to get a face to face interaction with a store manager! Thank you kind Sir, for giving me.a flashback from my days of shopping with my elders. You were downright cordial!! Its a real shame that these types of meetings are so taken for grant or just non-existent! You made my day. I received MORE than what I stopped by to get.Mrs. J. Washington- Baytown Texas.

Have enjoyed shopping here till yesterday when I seen in the meat department had reduced some large Owens pork sausage to 99¢ but could not see the expiration date because they hid it with the sticker & I removed sticker & it was 9 days expired they are going to make people sick rediculous & the manager just happened to be right & I told her & she didnt believe me & made no comment wow really we already have enough going on without having our local grocery store selling us expired food. Shame shame. WATCH MEAT EXPIRATION DATES AT THE STORE ON BAKER ROAD IN BAYTOWN.

One of my neighbours was stealing things from the local supermarket whilst sitting on the shoulders of two vampires. He was charged with shoplifting on two counts. - UnkownThe accessibility inside Food Town is not the issue; but expediting the lines via more check-out cashiers is. Whats also troubling is I hardly see any baggers to assist in the process.The underlying message that comes across here is that the cashiers expect the customers to bag their own items.Overall, their is value to make mention here & the ease of convenience is good. Personally, I feel it could be tweaked more to focus on the best customer experience & better training.In short, its a decent place to come in & go out. Prices are fair; but Food Town needs to focus more on cleanliness coupled with an extreme makeover.

All me encounters with staff here have been excellent. All the necessities are stocked. Produce selection is not great but sufficient on most days. Its the quality that is an issue most days. Off brand pricing helps tight budgeting. Meat section could use some work but they do provide a nice variety of cuts. Would recommend customer access to the butcher or meat department personnel. All in all, its great for the budget conscious individual. Shop smart.

More like an oversized neighborhood convenience store. No deli, poor beer selection.

Dirty store rude employees and prices are way too high use to be a cheap place to get groceries but not anymore

Drink prices are high but like their produce.My friend use the cash machine, took the money out of her account plus the charge for cash but didnt receive the cash.Also on the receipt said 0 cash despence but was unable to get the store to give her the cash.Had to wait and file a dispute charge with the credit card. Dont use their cash machine.They also need to be aware of handicap people. Grocery aisles are too crowded, their carts are not in very good working order.

I love this location, been shopping here for over 30 years. Its always clean, well stocked, managers go out of their way to greet you, employees are friendly, its local and convenient. What more could you ask for honestly?

Had everything I needed...just didnt have a sacker and the checker just shrugged her shoulders when I asked, Where are the Checkers! 🙄😒

When I first arrived it was packed with long lines.After I got a few things I came back up front and management must have opened more registers cause I didnt have to wait at all to check out.Awesome no long lines.

I love this Food Town. It is a blast from the past with a limited stock compared to the giant supermarkets, but its perfect for getting the basics. Always clean and well kept, theres a nice selection of fruits and meats, a decent frozen section and dairy. Far better than a convenience store and much easier than the supermarkets where it takes 10-15 minutes just to get through the store even if youre picking up only a couple of things.If you can get over a bias to everything being shiny and new, its a very good place to shop, especially when youre tired after work or just cant face Kroger or HEB and need more than a convenience store.

My first time at this store, I found all I needed for my Thanksgiving dinner next week. Except that the Kcup coffee selections are very limited and all box sizes are small, 12 cups was the largest I found. Not good!! They even had a lady sacker to help me carry my 2 baskets full of groceries to the car. Yay!!

This Foodtown is organized nicely. The staffs are friendly as well. I like going to this place more than other Foodtowns

This particular store is further from my house than the one on the corner of N. Main & Rollingbrook but I, who has never stolen a thing in my life, dont get followed around in this store.

I went in for money order very quick and courteous service. I have bought a few grocery items once before an it was reasonable. Im from out of state and will do more shopping at this location. I was impressed by the cleanest of this store also.

I enjoy shopping at Foodtown. They generally have what I need. The employees are kind and helpful.

The overall selection is way smaller than that of any other Food Town that I have ever been to. Went for shrimp and barely got any because they had extremely limited choices. Id rather go to Joe Vs to get food. Great prices on non food items like cleaning supplies though!

Its alright. Not my favorite place to shop. Majority of the employees cant speak English (but they are friendly) so if I cant find a specific item its like Im on a scavenger hunt. It smells kinda odd in the store as well, like it smells old. But Ill probably be back. Its right by my parents house so its convenient shopping with out having to fight the traffic on Garth road.

This is the small store. Very neat but cashiers are not openly friendly sometimes. Sackers are very helpful when you need one. Shop here weekly.

Although I have negative feelings on management from some years back. It really doesnt have any bearing on the quality of the food and staff they have. They are really high on some things Abe thats when I go to Joe vs for those things but for the most part they are reasonable And 90% of their staff act genuinely happy to assist you and thank you for coming. Their sackers are Johnny on the spot to help you with your groceries. They have an excellent selection And in fact they carry 3 items I cant find anywhere else Abe that makes my tummy happy.

Their produce is very hit or miss and after a storm they hadnt properly monitored their freezers and we got sold a moldy cobbler. However the manager was nice about it and fixed the problem. It remains a great place to pick up last minute items and reasonably priced canned goods.

I frequent this store. It is my go to! They have plenty of carts to ride if you are struggling to walk and need to ride through the store. The managers are extremely nice and they try to keep the lines moving!

I was amazed at the brand new Republican baskets! No more rusty, archaic, ugly baskets. They are a 100 percent improvement and contribute to establishing a better image of Food Town. Good-by Kroger! I am going to shop more at Food Towns convenient location! However, management needs to retrain employees to compete with HEB. Some of the new checkers need to be courteous and focus on their customers. They never offer obvious elderly or mothers with children help in putting groceries in the basket or take groceries to their cars. Even though Food Town is convenient, HEB is definitely #1 in courtesy and service!

Good for the basics. They do run managers specials once a week on different meats and dairy products. They are usually located at the front of the store, on the right, when you first walk in.

Good place to buy food items and vegetables. Its open from 6 am- 11 pm. So the timing is really convenient.

I asked the guy that collects the baskets if I could get a basket and he told me “ it’s 5 min till closing time you can only get a couple things” is was 10 min till closing and I needed to get just a couple things and one of them was a case of water, so I wasn’t able to buy my water because I couldn’t carry it with my other items. I come here almost everyday and have never had anyone talk to me like this!!

I really enjoy shopping at Food Town it is close to my house and the employees are very friendly and eager to help. I am handicapped and they are always willing to go and bring the motorized cart to the car for me and they make sure that they unload my groceries into the car when I am finished. The stockkers are wonderful to help reach items that I am unable to reach from the coolers and shelvs. It is a wonderful shopping experience. Thanks You Food Town.

(Based on my experience) Good place to shop, horrible place to work. Management has no ethnicity, If Management dose something very inappropriate they get a light slap on the wrist, how ever if someone lower down the chain was to do the same they would be terminated, its very high school (Drama).. Promotions and raises are based on whos friends with who, not the loyal employees whom have worked for the company for many years, whom come to work when scheduled, and calls in only when its an emergency. Management has no problem lying to the faces of Employees and Customers. They say they have competitive wages. Ha Ha They are the #1 lowest paying store in the Houston area. So for theses reasons Im giving them 2 stars ⭐⭐
